We’re on a cross-country road trip with our 5-year-old who has a bladder the size of a pea. When he needs to go, he needs to go immediately lest we suffer the consequences of the great flood inside our car. We’ve seen our share of frightful potties along the way. Paul and I were visiting a couple a few months ago who lived in a beautiful hi-rise condo. The place was absolutely gorgeous for many reasons…but my favorite aspect was the way the closets and bathrooms were adjoined to the master bedroom. His and Hers were right next door, but completely separate. There was this sense that it all worked together and were cozied up beside each other, but she could get ready in the morning without sharing any counter space, damp towels, or hair dryers.
