Bead Journal Project: February
February 27, 2009 by Cyndi Lavin
Each month, I’m choosing a fragment of scripture from one of the Psalms and using a heart shape to create a little 4 x 4 inch beaded piece that illustrates the feeling of that verse for me. Here is my piece for February:
Psalm 90:2
From everlasting to everlasting, You are God
There is no trouble or struggle that is as big as God.
Here are all three of my Winter pages together: December, January, and February

How do you describe your work, Andi?
I work in a multitude of media but the main focus is always fiber. Each piece is made of discrete parts, whether it is an embroidery (individual stitches), quilt (individual patches) or beadwork (individual beads). I think I’ve always liked mosaics, the look of millions of tiny parts making a whole image. The Embellishment Cafe was …read more

Local WCA art show

I’ve told you about the WCA before: it’s the Women’s Caucus for Art, and I belong to the Central Massachusetts chapter. I’ve found it to be a wonderful group to be involved with. We have several shows throughout the year: some are juried, some are invitational, some are open to all members.
Our current show is called H2O, and is being sponsored by one of our favorite venues: the Fitchburg pulic access TV station! They’ve been so accomodating to us that this is our third show at their facility.
