There have been a litany of studies which indicate that a long, stressful commute can be bad for your health–including a new one, released this month in the American Journal of Preventative Medicine, which notes that adults with longer commutes tend to weight more, have higher blood pressure, and have more dangerous belly fat. Good thing May is Bike Month, and this Thursday is Bike to Work Day, eh? More

I’ll admit it: I’m guilty of BWUI—biking while (woefully) uninformed. I have no idea what most of the parts on my bike do. I’d have no idea how to fix something if it broke. I am pretty much your cliche of a girl bicycler: I want a pretty vintage bike (preferably with a pretty little basket), and if one screw came loose on this pretty little bike, I’d be screwed. More

Did you know that May is National Bike Month? According to the League of American Bicyclists, it is, and May 16-20 is also Bike-to-Work Week. Several cities put on their own events to encourage cyclists to come out for spring, but at Blisstree, we want you to get involved all month long (and not just if you live in a major city).
