Zoos Face Closure

Zoos provide affordable local entertainment and educational opportunities at all times, but especially during a recession when many families are canceling vacations. Sadly, some animals may be losing their homes if things don’t turn around in Boston. Local families would also lose a favorite destination.
We seldom think of zoos running out of money, but it’s happening to Franklin Park Zoo, open since 1913 in Boston, as well as Stone Zoo in Stoneham. Zoo officials have said that they will run out of money within a few months. The zoos face an uncertain future due to state funding cuts.

If you’re in the Tampa, Fla. area, Big Cat Rescue is a fun and educational destination where you can see tigers, lions, leopards, cougars, bobcats, ocelots and more. And it’s rated as the number one attraction in Tampa by TripAdvisor reviewers. I visited last week and agree with those reviewers! Of course, I haven’t been to every attraction in Tampa, but I’m a cat fan, so . . .
