Earlier this week while I was propped up in bed (doctor’s orders I swear), most of the b5media health and wellness channel celebrated our monthly theme day. This month’s theme was Independence. Many, many thanks to Kendra, blogger at Diabetes Notes (and ) for hosting this month’s theme day and putting together this summary of posts:
The month of July symbolizes Independence in the USA so we here at the health and wellness channel used that as our platform for our theme day. I hope you enjoy what all of our great writers had to say around the H&W channel. Enjoy!

A New Yoga and Pilates Blog at b5media – Yay!

You know I love Pilates, but now that I am getting ready for another FET (frozen embryo transfer) I still don’t have answers as to how much and when I can reintroduce Pilates back into my routine post-transfer.
I’ve finally decided (after a few false starts) that I am down with Yoga. But I’m still not sure which is the best for me – the uber-competitive evening Ashtanga class with the hot instructor? Hatha, taught by the hippy and full-hipped lady in the morning? Which yoga would suit me and my fertility? I know I still have a lot to learn …read more

Many, many thanks to Gloria at Cancer Commentary who was our host for this month’s theme day. Interested to see how other b5 Health & Wellness bloggers feel about this shift in seasons? Be sure to visit Gloria’s round up of all of our posts. You would not believe the variety of angles and perspectives that this theme day has generated. But before you click over to another page, make sure you’ve added an entry to this …read more

Who doesn’t peruse the People Magazine while waiting in line at the grocery checkout? Who doesn’t pick up an Us Magazine or its ilk when waiting to be called at the dentist? Even if you don’t subscribe, you still sneak some peeks at what so and so is doing or who you know who is wearing, right? I do.
Next week here at the Health & Wellness channel, we’re going to make it a little easier to focus in our your favorite TV star, movie actor, singer. We’re trying something out called “Celebrity Week” and each blog will have at least …read more

Some of you may know that in addition to Fertility Notes and Daily Tomorrow, I also have a more anonymous blog out there in the blogosphere. As if these alter-egos aren’t enough, it seems I’ve donned another hat: Mrs. JabandGrapple.
At the request of my husband Michael, who is now a blogger on the b5media Sports Channel, I put together a guest post for him this weekend: my Top Ten WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) Hotties. I didn’t quite live up to the challenge (I could only think of seven, including this hottie right here) but it was a fun list …read more

Get Connected for Mental Health Month

May is Mental Health Month, but don’t worry. I’m not going to tell you to “just relax.” This year’s theme is “Get Connected.” Let’s talk about that.
In celebration of the event, I want to remind my readers that in addition to their online resources and forums, the National Infertility Association RESOLVE actually offers two different types of “real life” support groups – one led by mental health professionals and a more informal peer-support group often known as “coffee and conversation.”
RESOLVE understands that,
Making the decision to join a RESOLVE group can be difficult for some people. It may be …read more

March seems to be a favored month for awareness campaigns. And why not? It’s long and for most of us, its ushering in spring and some long awaited warmer weather.
We here at the B5 Media Science and Health channel chose “National Nutrition Month” as our monthly theme. You can read my post on nutrition and fertility below. After that, be sure to check out Eating Fabulous, where Ruth has compiled all of our nutritious offerings.
