If you’ve lost a lot of weight only to gain it back again, you’ll be able to relate to this new book.

Angry Fat Girls by Frances Kuffel is the memoir of five women struggling with losing weight and gaining it back again. The author’s life was transformed when she lost 188 pounds. That story was documented in Kuffel’s book, Passing for Thin.

Angry Fat Girls, to be released in January, deals with how Kuffel’s life changed yet again when she gained back more than half of the weight she lost. But the book is about more than the physical and psychological implications of the author’s weight gain. Kuffel’s memoir includes the stories of four other women: “5 Women, 500 Pounds and a Year of Losing It…Again.”

After she re-gained the weight, Kuffel formed new friendships with the other women featured in the book. They were in similar situations and found each other through the internet. The memoir has been described as funny and painfully honest. They’re looking for their best selves amid all the crazy weight loss struggles, while also asking the difficult questions like “Who am I inside all this weight?”

Many of you entered our contest for the book Cube Chic, and for good reason. Cube life can get a bit boring! With a book like this you could get ideas to spruce up your workplace. (And you spend enough time there, so why not?)

Did you enter the Make Room for Life giveaway? So many of you commented that life is just moving too darn fast these days. I can relate. With all the obligations we have, it’s easy to forget what’s really important. The winner of our giveaway was Emily. She said:

Sounds like a good book. I would like to make room for peace. When I go home, I feel guilty because my house is a mess and I have so much to do– paint the house, do homework, finish projects I’ve started, read books I’ve been meaning to read, be good to friends and family, meet church responsibilities, and so on! I am busy! It would be nice to have room for peace.

I think we can all relate to Emily’s comment. Let’s all make a commitment to put our life on a slower pace so we can enjoy our family, nature, and a simpler life.

I found this book, Making Room for Life by Randy Frazee, and knew it would make the perfect giveaway for the readers of Blisstree. After all, who among us doesn’t live a frazzled life? I ask you!

It seems all of us need to slow down and put things in perspective. The Amazon review for this book says:
