Today, October 1st, is the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Every year I seek out the little pink-ribboned products to due my part to help support the cause.
Here’s a list of companies that are doing their part to help bring about an end to breast cancer. They are all sponsors of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.

Would you pay $75 for water? What if it’s a limited edition water? Actually, I think it’s the bottle that’s limited.
Why does this Bling Limited Edition Water costs $75? It’s because the corked, frosted glass bottle is embellished with Swarovski Crystals. So that’s what you’re paying for, not the water since we can pretty much get water anywhere. Unless you’re on a deserted island of course.

Bottled water for kids= little flouride

If you live in a community where your water contains flouride but you give your children bottled water to drink – they’re not getting any of the fluoride benefits.
Dentists are, for the most part, in favor of flouridating drinking water. There has been a dramatic improvement in the teeth of children who drink flouridated water. The flouride plays an important role in preventing cavities and making teeth stronger. However, to benefit from the fluoride, you have to get it.

Make a Green Resolution: Recycle Your Water Filters

I’ve used Brita water filters for years, but I didn’t have an option to recycle them. That’s all changing starting January 2009. It’s part of the Filter For Good effort.
Whole Foods Markets and Preserve by Recycline are stepping up to help with the effort to recycle Brita water filters.
Starting in January, you can take your used Brita water filters to participating Whole Foods Markets or mail them to Preserve. If mailing, just package the filter in a small, used box and send it via ground shipping to:
