She won the first ever gold medal in women’s boxing (this was the first year the event was allowed at the Olympics), the only gold medal for U.S. boxing in 2012, and became the second-youngest fighter to win gold in either men’s or women’s boxing. World champion boxer and WBO Welterweight Champion Manny Pacquiao and WBO Light Welterweight Champion Timothy Bradley Jr. will face off in the ring on June 9 for Pacquiao’s title, in what is sure to be a hugely-watched fight.
