Brenda Novak Raises $270,611 for Diabetes

We’ve talked about Brenda Novak here before during our “Putting a Face on Diabetes” segment. Brenda’s son is diabetic and for five years she has worked tirelessly to raise money for a cure. She’s done an amazing job!

Each year she has an online auction with proceeds going to diabetes research. The auction offers a host of things such as vacation packages, books, online classes… really, just about everything you could imagine. There is something for everyone.

Brenda Novak’s Diabetes Auction

We’ve talked with Brenda Novak before here at Blisstree. She’s a very successful author and diabetes advocate, who each year raises thousands of dollars for diabetes research. In just a few short years she has managed to raise a half a million dollars!

Putting a Face on Diabetes: Brenda Novak

As I’ve mentioned before, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in my early 20s. It was hard enough getting it then. I can’t imagine getting it as a child. The shots, food restrictions, and constant monitoring is a difficult thing for children and their families. That’s why research and funding is needed until there is a cure.
