I have written before about my interest in sound and effective earth-friendly products and environmental solutions.
Behold, dear readers, the mother load of all things green in this week’s New York Times.
Your planning your wedding and you wanted the best Tuna for your sushi-themed appetizers flown in from Japan? “Fuggeddaboudit”…that would be an abuse of fuel.
(…a little detail which might work to your advantage when thinking about how to get your in-laws in from Stockholm.)
You’ve dreamed of Vera Wang designing your dress? Nope…think vintage.
The finest silverware to accompany your elaborate place settings? If you or someone you know [...]
Post from: Blisstree

The finest silverware to accompany your elaborate place settings? If you or someone you know is an environmentally concerned bride, not a chance…try potato-based biodegradable forks.

It takes diligent planning, and maybe the whole affair can’t be eco-friendly…but somethings, surely can…I would start with the invitations: tree bark anyone?

As if trying to behave with some grace and poise at a conventional wedding isn’t stressful enough:
What! No one will be looking at my white dress, they’ll be looking at the bride. That guy I was with last night was the grooom? Dancing, pain-killers and vodka aren’t lethal, are they? And, someone could have told me my dress was tucked into the back of my pantyhose, while I was giving my toast!
I’m going to my very first traditional Chinese Wedding — so, I think the odds will be stacked slightly higher for me.
How intimidating is this? [...]
Post from: Blisstree

As if trying to behave with some grace and poise at a conventional wedding isn’t stressful enough:

What! No one will be looking at my white dress, they’ll be looking at the bride. That guy I was with last night was the grooom? Dancing, pain-killers and vodka aren’t lethal, are they? And, someone could have told me my dress was tucked into the back of my pantyhose, while I was giving my toast!

I’m going to my very first traditional Chinese Wedding — so, I think the odds will be stacked slightly higher for me.

How intimidating is this? They don’t call it a reception…the party after the ceremony is a wedding banquet! How Ming Dynasty does that sound?

My understanding is that there usually is not an open bar (oh boy…no, that’s a good thing.) And they probably will not be serving egg rolls or Four Happiness Chicken.

I predict there will be a McDonalds near the event.
