When you hear the term “black and blue”, it conjures an image far far away from food, right? Well, today might sort of change that. My husband made his Black & Blue Burger and as usual it was great. “Black” comes from the blackened beef patties, while “blue” comes from blue cheese.
INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds of ground beef
sprinkle of dried oregano
sprinkle of dried basil
sprinkle of salt
1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp of Zatarains’ Blackened seasoning
Crumbled blue cheese
tomato slices
lettuce
burger buns
1/4 cup of melted butter

I saw a 4-pc pack of wheat rolls at Wal-Mart today and thought they would be really good as burger buns. At first, my husband wasn’t too sure about it but then I told him my idea of adding coleslaw on top of the patties so I was able to convince him in the end. We both decided ground turkey would compliment wheat rolls and coleslaw.
INGREDIENTS:
1 and 1/2 pound of ground turkey
1 small onion, chopped
3 cloves of garlic, chopped
sprinkles of dried herbs : basil, oregano, thyme (or Italian seasoning)
1 tbsp of Aromatica Organics sweet lemon pepper
1 tsp of Worcestershire …read more

He suggests …read more

When spring hits I start thinking about hamburgers on the grill. Unfortunately, since we moved, we no longer have a grill, so I’ve got a recipe that works only on the stovetop!
Start with two pounds of ground meat — I like one pound of beef and one pound of turkey. This will give you six good-sized burgers. Add in any seasonings you like: salt, pepper, onion powder, etc, and combine well.
Heat a large pan on the stovetop and place burgers in once it’s hot enough and cook until no longer pink (I was only able to get in three at …read more

Please tell me you’ve the seen the hilarious-subliminally filled with messages new Burger King commercial of their burgers called Burger Shots. If not, watch the video below.
If you are wondering whether the BK Burger Shots look and tastes as good as the ones on TV, well, here’s a picture I took myself.
As for taste, well it tastes just like a regular cheese burger with too much mustard in it to me. I like mustard but I would appreciate it if my patties are not swimming in it. The patties are thin and not as thick as the …read more
