The last time we were in New Orleans, which was about three weeks ago as part of our cross-country road trip, we made reservations at Stella! We had never eaten there before. Since it was on our long list of NO restaurants to try and we were staying dangerously close to the place, we decided to give it a try. The minute we walked in we realized Stella! was not a kid-friendly establishment. To the restaurant’s credit, they didn’t kick us out.

Beignet Fix for Fall

As the weather cools this fall, it’s a good time to sip some cafe au lait in New Orleans, La.
The original Cafe Du Monde in the French Market is open 24 hours, seven days a week. It’s difficult to catch them closed unless you visit on Christmas day.
While many try to imitate, there’s really nothing like the beignets at Cafe Du Monde. Those warm, puffy square doughnuts in the French style are covered in powdered sugar and taste great with the cafe’s signature coffee and chicory blend.
