Although that is true, we cannot just decide one day to pick up a healthier diet (like increasing the intake of fruits and veggies!!) and be assured we won’t increase or risk of developing any cancer type.
One cannot just erase one’s history of unhealthy eating and lifestyle, right? How can one erase something like not giving fruits, veggies and fish a second look during the first 30 years of your life?!

Ever heard of the words: from cradle to grave? That’s also the period of time we all should be living healthy, not only against cancer but also against any other serious medical condition.

As of late, here are the most recent reports that involves nutrition and cancer:

Each one says a lot about food. Thus, whether we like to accept the fact or not, food and diet plays an important role in cancer.

Spot Moffitt dietitians wearing pink on March 10, Registered Dietitian Day. Registered dietitians have degrees in nutrition, dietetics, public health or related fields, and most have a master’s degree. They must complete supervised training and pass a Commission on Dietetic Registration exam.

“When you need food and nutrition information based on fact or need to know how a healthy diet improves health and fights disease, rely on qualified professionals in the field,” says Kathy Allen, M.A., R.D., LD/N and manager of Nutritional Therapy at Moffitt. “They are able to separate facts from fads and translate nutrition science into information you can use.”

Patients can find information on healthy eating and foods that can help fight cancer on March 14 and 28 in the Moffitt Clinic Building atrium. There will be games and giveaways.
