I don’t know about you, but I love floating candles. It makes me think of natural beauty. I don’t know why it would bring that image to my mind, but it does. Here is what you will need to get started:

Wicks and wick tabs
Muffin or a cupcake pan or novelty wax molds (I used square molds)

Attractively arranged food and table settings add appeal to family meals or any time you serve culinary treats. This also creates memorable occasions. No matter how simple your food is, it can seem “fit for a king or queen,” when served attractively.
Some of the artistic techniques for serving food:
Add candles in a variety of arrangements to your dining table.
Use pretty dishes, even mix and match ones when you don’t have complete sets. I recall the attractive serving dishes my aunt used for family meals, even just a cut glass pickle dish or flowered jelly jar.

I had to look twice when I saw the pretty packaging on these Soy-based Candles. My first glimpse was in a kitchen design magazine, and I assumed they were some designer’s work, with the colors and fragrances offered. Currants and Acai, Sheer White Cotton, McIntosh Apple…they all sound nice for use in the kitchen. Has anyone had the opportunity to try these out? I’d love to hear what you think.

Fruits of Paradise
Well these scented candles work for me, so I don’t think it matters if you are a new mom or a mom with grown-up kids. You still need ways to pamper yourself because the stress.. it never stops. It’s just part of being a mom! But every once in a while you have to think about what you need.
Scents include Bali Lime Papaya, Hawaiian Ruby Guava and Brazilian Mango Grapefruit. Time for a little pampering!

Mother’s Day Memories
My kids have pretty much grown up now… well as much as I’m willing to let them and I have a ton of memories. And a lot of special ones have to do with Mother’s Day! Here are two of of my favorites…
Each year, my husband would always take the kids out and let them buy me whatever THEY wanted. That usually meant that I would receive two big bottles of soda and two big bags of potato chips. But there was a year when my son was old enough to walk up the lane to the …read more
