Learning from experience – caring for aging parents

Int eh New York Times, Jane Gross gives us an enlightening look at, What I Wish I Had Done Differently when caring for her aging mother.
She learned some things, but the common theme of them all is, like we talk about here is plan ahead so you don’t have to make decisions in haste.

Major U.S. Media outlets are all over the Sandwich Generation topic today.
ABC News has a story Sandwich Generation Faces Massive Stress in Caring for Aging Parents and Kids (in other news, water is wet) and CNN posted Great Web sites when aging parents need help.

Call for video stories about caring for elderly parents

In April, PBS will broadcast a special program, Caring For Your Parents, by award-winning filmmaker and FRONTLINE producer Michael Kirk.
The program profiles five American families caring for aging parents and the struggles they confront. WGBH Labs is seeking other 3 minute video stories to complement the program.
