Did you know that Chef Cat Cora loves to entertain? When she’s not in the Food Network’s Kitchen stadium during the summer months she loves to entertain friends and family in her backyard. Two of her favorite summer backyard cooking techniques include grilling and smoking. She says it’s a refreshing laid back change from the pressures of Kitchen Stadium.

Iron Chef Cat Cora Pregnant

And so is her wife! I feel like I’ve been living under a rock because I had no idea Chef Cora was a lesbian — you learn something new everyday. Cat Cora is one of five chefs on Food Network’s popular Iron Chef America.
Cat and her partner, Jennifer Cora, were both inseminated by the same donor, though Cat is actually carrying Jennifer’s biological child (a boy!), and Jennifer is carrying a baby from either one, as embryos from both women were implanted.

Cat Cora Cooks From the Hip

Cat Cora is probably mostly known for her position as Executive Chef of Bon Appetit magazine and as one of the Iron Chef’s on Food Network.
Cat Cora grew up in a strong Greek household in the South, graduated in Exercise Physiology and Biology from the University of Southern Mississippi. She later graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and then continued her work and study in France.

Cat Cora’s Moroccan Winter Stew

Cat Cora, Iron Chef and Food Editor at Bon Appetit, was recently on The Today Show with a recipe that is sure to warm so many of us attempting to stay warm these last few frigid weeks.
It is a Moroccan style stew with rib-eye. She said you can substitute lamb if you wish. It just takes longer to cook. You can always try this in a slow cooker as well.
The Moroccan Beef Stew can be served on some couscous along with a Fennel and Olive Salad and don’t forget dessert with her Chocolate Budino.

LA Gets Hot with Celeb Chefs

Cat Cora, along with a long list of other celebrity chefs, will be mixing it up at The 2006 Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo’s floor show entitled “Hot Spot Culinary Extravaganza” Saturday, August 26th through Monday, August 28th at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Other celebrity chefs who will be part of the floor show include: Guy Fieri, Tony Abou-Ganim, Gregg Wangard, and Tommy Tang.
