An Indiana parent is suing her local schools. in federal court on grounds that religious education classes violate the establishment clause of the Constitution.
The complaint filed with the American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana on behalf of an unnamed woman and her 8-year-old son asks a federal judge to shut down the program and bar the school district from providing it with any support.
The boy attends Horace Mann Elementary School, which offers third- and fourth-grade students a “release time” program called By the Book Weekday Religious Instruction through the Associated Churches of Huntington.

Actor Vince Vaughn has admitted he enjoys watching reality TV show SuperNanny.
Vaughn claims he has picked up useful parenting tips from the famous child expert Jo Frost and puts them to the test when he babysits his three nieces and nephew.

He says, “You watch the show, these kids are terrors. They’re hopped up, they’ve been eating candy. The nanny comes in. Naughty step, boundaries, everyone hugs each other, the chauffeur drives her away.
It’s an amazing thing.”

Reports were floating around Thursday that Jackson had married 40-year-old Grace Rwaramba, the nanny of his three children, in Las Vegas earlier this year.
“Wide spreading reports regarding Michael Jackson being married are not true. Documents stating otherwise are a hoax,” Jackson spokeswoman Raymone Bain told “Access.”
I have to admit, I found it difficult to believe Jacko would be married to anyone. While there are many things I believe this man could be capable of, marriage is not one of them.
The two previous were for publicity stunts – but to marry someone that serves no purpose? Nahh!

It’s really a sad day when a judge has to step in and actually ORDER a couple to undergo parenting classes as well as random drug and alcohol testing and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Regardless, kudos to the judge for being insightful enough to take the children into account and not their mommy’s pocketbook.
