I think her honesty is going to get a lot of flak from people. While I don’t agree that abortion is a good idea (being someone who is adopted), I think the important thing to focus on here is that she took the time to let it all sink in and then tried to make an informed decision. She stressed that in talking to other people, it was the regret at having an abortion that stayed with them over time. It’s not a quick and simple “fix” to an unplanned pregnancy.

She said:

“It wasn’t like I was raped, it’s not like I’m 16. I’m 30 years old, I make my own money, I support myself, I can afford to have a baby. And I am with someone who I love, and have been with for a long time.”

Anne Dudek, who played Wilson’s girlfriend on House and then moved on to Mad Men, gave birth last month, December 14, to her first child, a boy. Anne’s husband is painter Matthew Heller,

Jaimee Foxworth (I’m not sure what she’s famous for!) is expecting her first child with her boyfriend. After being a child star, sadly she sank into addiction but seems to have cleaned up her act.

Grey’s Anatomy has an expectant mama to work around. Actress Chyler Leigh and her husband are expecting their third child.

Sarah Palin’s a grandma

In 1996, Lance was diagnosed with an advanced stage of testicular cancer. It had spread throughout his body and was given a grim prognosis. However, the grim ending wasn’t meant to be and Lance lived to become a 7-time Tour de France cycling champion as well as head of his organization, Livestrong.org.

Lance was married when he was sick and after recovery. He and his then-wife Kristin Richards had three children using in vitro fertilization (IVF) because Lance had stored his sperm before undergoing chemotherapy. But – and here’s where this may give hope to many men who had testicular cancer – his girlfriend, Anna Hansen, is now pregnant and the couple didn’t use IVF or outside help.

The news doesn’t say when the baby is due, but hopefully all will go well for everyone.

Testicular cancer survivor Lance Armstrong to be a dad again

Spiderman Tobey Maguire and his wife Jennifer Meyer are expecting little one number two. This baby will join big sister, Ruby, who is two years old.

Singer Gerard Way, of Chemical Romance, is about to become a dad for the first time. His wife, Lyn-Z (whose real name is Lindsey Ballato) is a bassist for Mindless Self Indulgence. Hmm, I wonder which way they’ll lean when it comes to naming the babe?

Add Carson Daly to the list of soon-to-be dads for the first time. He and his girlfriend Siri Pinter are expecting their bundle of joy in the spring.

According to People.com, the first-timer club is growing still. Actress Cobie Smulders is expecting her first child. Oh, and so is and actor Taran Killam, the dad.

Actress Michelle Monaghan (Eagle Eye) and her husband Peter White are now parents of a baby girl. No name has been announced yet.

Carnie Wilson, who sometimes must feel that she’s more famous for her weight and weight loss than anything else, is now pregnant with her second child. She and her husband, Rob Bonfiglio, are already parents to a daughter, Lola Sofia.

Supermodel Niki Taylor, 33, is joining the new mom ranks in March 2009. She is married to NASCAR racer Burney Lamar

Actress Julie Bowen (Boston Legal) and her husband Scott Phillips are expecting their second child this coming spring. The two already have an 18-month-old named Oliver McLanahan.

Is it just me or has the celebrity baby boom seem to have slowed down?

Time for another celeb pregnancy round-up

Elvis would have been a grandpa again, times two. Lisa Marie Presley gave birth to twins, both girls. No names have been announced yet, but both babies and mom seem to be doing well. Lisa Marie has two other children, Riley, 19, a model, and Benjamin, 15, with ex-husband Danny Keough. The twins are the first children with her boyfriend Michael Lockwood.

Former American Idol star, Paris Bennett, now has a baby girl to idolize. Paris, who is 20, is a first-time mom who has not identified the baby’s dad. The baby’s name? Egypt Bennett. We’ll have to see how many babies Paris has and if she plans on keeping the geographical theme.

Over at the set of 24, there must have been some surprise when actress Marisol Nichols went into labor early. Marisol and her husband Taron Lexton were only expecting their first child this month, but their daughter, Rain India Lexton, had other ideas and was born on September 30th.

Singer Dierks Bentley and his wife, Cassidy, welcomed their first child, a girl, who they named Evalyn Day. The country singer and his wife are high school sweethearts.

Rocker Josh Freese of Nine Inch Nails (and a former member of The Vandals and Guns N’ Roses), is set to have his third child with his girlfriend Nicole Amdurer. The baby is due in in January and will join brothers Hunter Cole and August.

Celebrity IVF experiences giving false hope?

Actor David Spade’s brief laison with Playboy Playmate Jillian Grace resulted in Jillian delivering a baby girl last week.

Actress Laura Allen and her husband, model Bruce Weyman, have welcomed a baby boy, Harper Edward Weyman, born last week, weighing in at 9 lbs., 5 oz.

Dancing with the Stars’ Tony Dovolani and his wife, Lina welcomed twins earlier this week – a boy and a girl. Their son, weighing in at 7 lbs, was named Adrian Driton Dovolani and their daughter, weighin in at 7 lbs, 10 oz, was named Ariana Dovolani.

Actor Gael Garcia Bernal and his wife actress Dolores Fonzi are expecting a baby boy sometime soon.

Actress Minnie Driver delivered her first child, a son – Henry Story Driver. Henry was born last week and weighed in a whopping 9 lbs, 12 oz.

Singer Usher and his wife Tameka Foster are expecting their second child. Their first child was born in November 2007.
