Wherever a woman in the public eye’s body is on the spectrum of size, every inch of her will be inspected and insulted. More
I don’t care if you’re a psychiatrist, if your brother has schizophrenia or if you do, you aren’t her doctor and it isn’t your business. More
Lindsay Lohan is on the comeback campaign trail. On a two-part interview this week on the Today Show, the 25-year-old who has spent the last few years digging herself out of alcohol abuse, drug use, a DUI, shoplifting, probation and jail time now says all of that’s changed. Lohan wants the world to know that she’s “clean and sober” and moving in the right direction. Wait, wasn’t she the one who just posed for Playboy three months ago? Was that moving in the right direction?
Hollywood seems to be on a roll with its latest trend amongst pregnant women. If it’s not about how much weight they’ve gained during their pregnancy, how quickly they can get their pre-pregnancy bodies back, or even whether they really are pregnant at all, more celebs are choosing to bare it all and show us their naked, pregnant bodies. On the Today show this morning, their panelist of Star Jones, Donny Deutsch and Dr. Nancy Snyderman debated a number of the biggest news headlines, including the supposed marital trouble between Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher. As if it’s any of our business, but one explanation they gave for Kutcher cheating was the fact that Demi is so much older than he is and gravity is taking its toll on her body. Because, you know, when we age, men flee to a younger, hotter woman, right?

How can you not love Ellen DeGeneres, right? I mean, she’s got it going on: She makes simple everyday things funny, has a talk show that has rivaled Oprah on many occasions, has won 50 Emmy’s, has an awesome vegan blog, is married to the gorgeous Portia de Rossi, and she certainly knows how to bust a move on the dance floor–and her studio floor. The 53-year-old comedian and all-around likable person also recently released her third book, Seriously, I’m Kidding, where she dishes on everything from her personal life, to her career and even her stint on American Idol. We know all about the spiritual, heart-opening benefits of yoga (and we love that), but let’s also be honest: Yoga is damn good at slimming our bodies and keeping them toned and looking amazing. And it seems we’re not the only one who thinks so. More
Catherine Zeta-Jones released a statement yesterday, announcing that she not only has Bipolar II Disorder, but that she also recently sought treatment at a mental health care facility in the wake of hubby Michael Douglas’ cancer scare. Good on her for being so forthcoming – usually, celebrities go to exorbitant lengths to hide their illnesses from the public which, in most cases, is a recipe for disaster. Hollywood just can’t keep secrets today like it could 20 years ago. TMZ, Perez Hilton, and the 24-hour AP newswire all have insiders and whistleblowers informing them of every celebrity hang-nail, papercut, bunion and sniffle. But Zeta-Jones has effectively issued a preemptive strike against speculation by just owning up to the truth of her situation. More
Still searching for the perfect Halloween costume? Dressing up as Lady Gaga may be contemporary and universally recognizable, but if you’re thinking of trying out her meat dress schtick, experts (i.e. butchers) say don’t go Gaga. The dress she wore to the MTV Video Music Awards — made of 100% chuck — might be the pinnacle of spooky-impressive Halloween costumes this year, but the butchers interviewed below say that wearing raw flank steak is a bad idea. Aside from harboring a salmonella-laced outfit and dripping bloody juices on your friends’ furniture, they also point out that wearing wet meat on a cold Halloween night will put you at risk for hypothermia.
