I&#8217;m going to use this book (it&#8217;s a fantastic resource if you&#8217;re looking for celtic interlaces!) to make the patterns on the napkins.   I&#8217;m going to stitch over the lines using a dense satin stitch with my sewing machine.
I want to do something a little different for the table runner.  I&#8217;m going to start off with this book:

<p><img src="http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/I/51nUjmNqNEL._BO2,204,203,200_PIlitb-dp-500-arrow,TopRight,45,-64_OU01_AA240_SH20_.jpg" align="bottom" height="240" width="240" /></p>
<p>I&#8217;m going to use <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Celtic-Iron-Transfer-Patterns-Transfers/dp/0486260593/ref=sr_1_3/002-0805339-1680868?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1178677488&amp;sr=8-3" target="_blank">this</a> book (it&#8217;s a fantastic resource if you&#8217;re looking for celtic interlaces!) to make the patterns on the napkins.   I&#8217;m going to stitch over the lines using a dense satin stitch with my sewing machine.</p>
<p>I want to do something a little different for the table runner.  I&#8217;m going to start off with <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Celtic-Dance-Costumes-Transfer-Patterns/dp/0486412342/ref=sr_1_41/002-0805339-1680868?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1178677666&amp;sr=8-41" target="_blank">this</a> book:</p>
<p><img src="http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/I/5199GXSB1PL._AA240_.jpg" align="bottom" height="240" width="240" /></p>
<p>But instead of embroidering the lines onto the runner, I&#8217;m going to iron on the pattern onto a second piece of the same fabric.  Fuse it to a piece of double-sided fusible webbing, cut it out and then machine-applique it onto the runner.  It&#8217;s still quite subtle, but gives a little more depth to the finished project.</p>
<p>Time to get sewing!</p>
