We’re celebrating this week for many reasons –my husband’s good health, our wedding anniversary, plus, Truman’s T-ball team is 2-0. And there’s something about the early days of spring that just screams “party!”
So we broke out Perrier Jouet Grand Brut. The experts say this Champagne is “poised and stylish” and “layers sharp citrus fruit with spicy wood and light toast.” All I know is when I’m walking around with a glass of this, I’m loving life. After writing about cooking with champagne the other day I did a little searching for some fun drink recipes.

I’ve never really given much thought to cooking with champagne, though I’m not sure why. Food Network has put together a list of 100 Champagne Recipes, and if I think about it next time (and can find it at a reasonable price) I might try making my pork chops with champagne next time!
Champagne Brie Fondue isn’t so far-fetched (and actually sounds divine), and Emeril’s Champagne Sabayon couldn’t be any easier.
