Organic Green Mommy is a little off-putting at first (for some reason I hate the whole “Mommy” title) but it’s actually a super useful site for green parents. Organic Green Mommy was started by Lauren Davison in 2008. Davison, is a mama, an organic lifestyle coach, yoga teacher, holistic nutritionist, and documentary filmmaker. Organic Green Mommy is an interactive site that provides tools and tips for eco-conscious parenting and green living.

Good morning, Motherhood!
I’ve got some pretty elegant shoes to fill here at Inside Motherhood. I’m honored to be here!
When I left the hospital with my son, in my right hand, I had a three ring binder full of instructions on how to take care of myself after the birth. In my left hand, I held a single sheet of paper with a few sparse words on how to deal with my newborn–and half of that paper was concerned with caring for the umbilical cord site as it healed.
