Premier Hotels to Offer FREE Childcare

First Choice, UK-based family travel experts, have incorporated FREE children’s “clubs” into two Premier Hotels.  The Clubs will launch later this fall, and are, in essence, childcare.  It’s hoped that this service will provide a quality experience for the small fry, giving parents a little personal break when they need it.
The first two properties to offer the service are the brand new African-themed Lopesan Baobab Resort (Melonaras, Gran Canaria) and the Blue Lagoon Resort (Kos, Greece).  First Choice expects to roll out the program at a number of their other resorts as well.

The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit seeking to strike down a new law that bans any unmarried person who lives with a partner from serving as an adoptive or foster parent in the state of Arkansas.

Early Child Care Linked to Problem Behavior

Children who had been placed in child care during early childhood were more likely to exhibit aggression and disobedience regardless of the quality of the center-based care they received.
I’ve always been a believer that at least one parent should be able to stay at home with children until they begin kindergarten.  I know this isn’t always possible, but studies are showing more and more that it’s in the best interest of the children and their wellbeing.
