I think people should take a break from speaking for awhile. I blame two reasons for, what I observed to be, uncontrollable and inane blathering: cell phones and Hollywood.

This post goes out specifically to a woman in my nail salon who, for an entire 2 hours!–was speaking very loudly on her cell-phone to–I now know–her daughter–who apparently is a bride’s maid in an upcoming wedding. She has a low-cut dress, has not received directions to the church and the limo will be there at 1:00pm!

My work schedule has been quite insane lately, and I was really looking forward to a nice, leisurely and quite mani/pedi session. ($20 on Weds…lol) I can’t say this more clearly…shut up and shut off your phone! Can you hear me now?

Secondly, Hollywood…they all need to shut up too. In the specific case of Christina Aguilera the infraction is more of a generation-canyon thing than a sheer rudeness thing.

In a recent “People Magazine” photo, she is shown wearing a vintage (or Madaonna) looking outfit. The caption reads–”I’m inspired by the 20s, 30s and 40s–they’re such feel-good periods.” Ahem…Wall Street crash, The Great Depression and World War II. Not so feel good.

Two words for Ms. Aguilera: History Channel.
