Vita Coco, O.N.E. Coconut Water Sued For False Claims; Give License To Buy Pricier Brands

Vita Coco, O.N.E. Coconut Water Sued For False Claims; Give License To Buy Pricier Brands

Half of us at Blisstree are nursing slight addictions to coconut water, which is mostly just harmful to our wallets, but according to the plaintiffs of a new lawsuit against O.N.E. Coconut Water and Vita Coco, it could be hitting your health. Rockstar Coconut Water Is Like Regular Coconut Water, But With Added Crap

I have already made my feelings clear about coconut water. And even though I feel like a pawn in a giant, coconut-tree-cash-crop-probably-terrible-for-the-planet industry which targets people exactly like me (young-ish, female, sporty, into yoga, eater of kale), I can’t stay away from the stuff. Oh, and according to the director of sports nutrition at UC Davis, “there’s nothing magical about coconut water.” We can’t say whether coconut water is really worth your money, but we think the Times could stand to ease up on the drink: For the average person, we still think it’s a better post-workout choice than sports drinks and energy bars.
