Pink Ribbon Review BCAM Giveaway: Winner #34

I wanted to take a minute today to more formally thank the people that walked with me this year in the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. So I turned to Crane’s Search for the Cure Caddy and wrote the perfect notes with perfect cards.

These are so great. I mean, I’m a tactile person and a writer to boot, so for me, you can’t get much better than the feel of high-end stationary.

First and foremost, the quality of the cards is so top-notch that my handwriting was better because I didn’t want to mess them up. (Yes, I chose a Cross pen so that I knew the ink would be worthy of the card … though I’m sure other pens would be just fine).

The cards are created from 100% cotton paper. They’re pearl white and have a pink ribbon motif on the top; the envelopes are pink mist.

The caddy itself sits on the corner of my desk, ready for me to take pen to paper and thank someone who did something special for me, invite someone to participate in an event or wish someone well if they’re in the midst of a fight. It comes with 25 cards and matching pink envelopes.

Plus, $2/box will be donated directly to a breast cancer organization.

Last year, Crane gave funds to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, whose mission is to save lives by increasing awareness of breast cancer through education and by providing mammograms for those in need. NBCF funds free mammograms for women who could otherwise not afford them and supports research programs in leading facilities across the country. I’m sure they’ll give the money to another worthy organization this year and hopefully we can let you know who the beneficiary is at that time.

Definitely worth the $29 price tag if you’re into fine stationary.

Crane’s Search for the Cure Caddy

I feel like I’m walking around in slippers.

Today I’m wearing a pair of pink mammoth crocs. Me. Crocs. Go figure.

See, I’ve never been a Croc girl. I’ve always thought of them as an ugly trendy children’s shoe that I would never get caught dead in. I imagined myself sweating in them, hating the plastic feel, uck. Not for me.

But here I am, wearing a pair around town like the trendiest child in the neighborhood.

First of all, the mammoth crocs are lined in fleece — strapless, slip-on, cozy … warm and toasty … and comfortable man. Really, really comfortable?

Is anyone here a croc fan?

This might make you one if you’re not: $5 from the purchase of each pair of pink crocs for the cure will go to the breast cancer research fund. How great is that?

Go the main crocs website and head to the bottom right corner where there’s a crocs for the cure logo. on the crocs for the cure page you’ll see the entire line of pink shoes.

This pair of mammoth crocs retails for $39.99 — totally worth it if you ask me. Totally.

FYI, it says on the site to order a half size up since the fleece lining has them fitting more snugly. They’re right — I didn’t go up a 1/2 size and they are, for lack of a better word, snug.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know. These crocs rock!
