Earlier I told you about the campfire pizza pies we made last week. While we were making campfire pies, we also decided to make some filled with pie filling. Then we got brave and experimented with adding marshmallow cream and chocolate to make a s’mores pie.
Both turned out delicious!
To make the fruit pies we buttered the bread, the same way we did for the pizza pies. Then instead of adding pizza toppings, we added about a tablespoon of raspberry pie filling.

We headed for the lake this last week for one last blast before my son starts back to school next week. We had a blast, even if the weather didn’t completely cooperate. We still managed to have a campfire or two on dry nights.
We made several variations of the basic campfire pizza pie.
