Beautiful custom metal sinks

Art Attack Thursday!
Jeff Downing, of Downing Designs in Florida, told me about their gorgeous concrete sinks that have a copper patina.  The Leaf Sinks are molded from actual Bird-of-Paradise leaves and other exotic leaves.   They are custom sized to fit any vanity base, as well as double Leaf Sink vanities.

The inside of the sink basin is coated with copper and then oxidized with various solutions to achieve the spectacular results. The patina is sealed to arrest further change in the color attained. St. Croix Lutheran High School Copper Chapel

I’m not usually drawn to chapels – they just aren’t my deal. However, the St. Croix Lutheran High School Chapel in West St. Paul, Minnesota is an exception. It’s simple, yet, lovely in form and shimmery with copper. I love how tight it is; mod but classic (if that makes sense). Just an overall beautiful chapel.

The chapel is actually an award winning design from Kodet Architectural Group.
