The Big Bad Cube

Most posts about this cube home are calling it tiny or small (at least that I’ve seen) but it feels more immense to me. It does dwell above most of the trees. G Living notes that it can be built in just five days. Ah bliss. No waiting around. It’s also very striking. I love the dark, which seems almost too dark, but it works. Or works for me I should say. I love that it looks like a barn. I’m big on barn homes this year.

The House Kern

Lately it seems all I see are homes that technically might be out of place but are designed in such a way that blends them seamlessly into the landscape. This home, the House Kern, by Stoosarchitekten, I’m torn about. I’m a fan because Stoosarchitekten work always has nice clean lines and is subtle in it’s uniqueness. This work makes an understated statement.
