Ok, I’m about to give up on the promised drawings of my hand I mentioned a while back. I was so certain they were in that particular spot in the back room. It’s so annoying when you go to find something and your mind has deceived you like that. I have two more places left to check, so although I promised them last week, they will be a bit longer.

While in the library this morning I picked up a large book about Maurits Cornelis Escher’s drawings. I’m sure you’ve seen the images before. A good example is the drawing above. I had a quick read of the biography at the beginning of the book and learnt Escher kept a visual diary. He believed the daily practice of drawing would improve his skills. I think he might’ve been on to something.
