Dating Service Endorsed by Psychology Today

I’ve been seeing a lot of ads lately for True. True is an online dating service that is endorsed by Psychology Today. Here are a few of  True’s features:
*They already have “Millions of members”
*They offer scientific compatibility testing
*They screen members for martial status
*They screen members for prior criminal activity (Felons need not apply. They are serious. They run members through a US Criminal Database before allowing them to contact other members).
We require that members provide their legal first and last name, as well as their date of birth (they must also certify that the information they provide is correct). We …read more

Dating for People with a Learning Disability

Dating is, after all, for everyone.
A DATING agency is being set up in the Island to assist people with a learning disability to find romance.
The agency, which will be called Kindred Spirits and will be open to anyone aged 18 upwards with a learning disability, has been made possible by a £20,000, three-year donation from the directors of F Le Gallais and Sons. (Source: ThisisJersey.com)
As reported, the dating service was scheduled to start in August, spearheaded by David Harburn who knows that it’s difficult to find a mate if you have a learning disability since he was born with …read more

The Blackberry Hook Up

Thanks to Aaron’s Blackberry Love, he pointed me towards the direction of a post where Mark posted a valid question, “What’s next? A dating service for MacBook or iPod users?” This is in reference to the new dating service specifically for Blackberry users called, Dateberry.
I reckon it wouldn’t be a surprise if they do come up with a dating service catering to that niche. They can even have something for iPaq, Dell, and Palm OS, i.e. www.mapalad.org, users!
First thing that came to mind was, “At least, you can be certain that you have something in common.” It’s a better …read more

A Medium for Love for People who Work in Media

Now, it’s time to bring some news to the people who works the news. Heehee.
I must say that my impression of the work of these people whose careers are in the media industry, is that it’s highly stressful. Deadlines aren’t just month end reports or weekly status updates but daily and up-to-the-minute briefs that are even counter-checked for accuracy. Uh, well — ideally speaking, that is.
Come to think of it, since we’re on the topic of accuracy, which can be synonymous to perfectionism and admitting that there’s a bit of science involved, it’s considered a fact from numerous observations that …read more

I love orange juice.

“What’s your favourite juice?” Paul Davidson asked all the single individuals out there. If you’re ready to answer then you probably need to hear the million dollar idea that he has to connect the two — single and juice.
Sounds crazy? Well, for Paul, Juice is a very serious subject. Apart from it being his 43rd reason to why he will be a millionare, he believes that matching you with someone who shares the same love for the similar kind of juice will help you find your soul mate.

Top Speed Date Questions

We all know that Speed Dating isn’t named that way for nothing so it’s important that you’ve got it together when you’re participating in the event. For those who are not aware of what happens in one, let me give you the gist of it.
You’re given a certain amount of time to get to know an X number of guy or girl participants and make a decision if you’d be interested to see them again.
Based from experience, I was only given 5 minutes each and there were 25 guys, so do the math! Since it was my first time, …read more

The Million Dollar Matchmaking Scam

Just how much are you willing to shell out to find a mate?
For the young and single seekers, the normal amount you spend on a dinner and drinks or perhaps a movie, is all that it takes. But what if you’re someone who’s been around the block? I mean, you’ve been married for decades and had children and even grandchildren and now divorced or widowed? Will dinner and movie dates be suficient enough?
I reckon it may be difficult to get into the dating scene again. Heck, it’s hard enough for singles to deal with dating, can you imagine how …read more
