Women know what they are looking for in men. They know what works and what doesn’t and what is attractive and what is not. So why does it seem like there are so many men out there that are going about everything completely wrong? Why are good guys always getting rejected?

The Wing Girl Method founder Marni Kinrys created her dating coaching company to help men improve their skills and find success in dating. Men are always trying to help men find women, but it is so much more helpful to get dating advice from a woman! I recently conducted an interview with Marni to find out more about The Wing Girl Method…

Q: Tell me a little more about the services that The Wing Girl Method provides…

A: The Wing Girl Method is the first and currently the only female run and operated company to be involved in the Seduction Community. What we do is we offer men a blunt and honest female perspective on how to attract and keep women. Essentially we strip men of their core beliefs about women and themselves, make tweaks and turn these men into more attractive versions of themselves. A lot of men have never learned to master their social skills with women and we find that by providing them with information and insight on what women want they are able to build confidence and finally attract the women they want. These guys typically labelled as “the friend” or “just the nice guy” finally have options!

Q: What is the most common mistake that men are making when they are trying to meet women?

A: The most common mistake men make is forgetting about themselves as soon as an attractive, awesome woman comes along. They throw their self respect and belief of self worth out the window. Suddenly this women who they nothing about becomes more worthy then them and put up on a huge pedestal. Men forget that women are just humans and not magical creatures whose wants and desires should be placed above their own.

Q: Tell me a little about signs that women give to men that men are missing…

A: Contributing to the conversation not just nodding her head and giving one word answers, body language turned towards a man, not covering up her body, hair flips, lip gloss application, eye contact…

One thing to look out for is a woman who is overly comfortable with you and is being overly touchy or grabbing you. Most likely she is simply enjoying you and not into you.

Q: What is the best way for a guy to let a girl know that he is interested?

A: By being present, listening to her and telling her he is interested. Go after what you want. Be proud of it but if rejection strikes be okay with it. Smile and exit and then go find another wonderful girl who wants your attention!

Check out The Wing Girl Method website to get tons more tips, get in touch with Marni, attend a seminar, or sign up for a coaching experience. If you have been struggling in the dating scene, maybe it’s time to get a little extra help from an expert…

Not very subtle, really kind of icky, but it’s billed as “the #1 Cougar Dating Community on the net.” Date A Cougar is a paid service, but there is a free 3 day intro available. This service is for older woman/younger man couples.

*Smooch.com. Smooch is a free service. Free to put an ad up, free to message, free to email. Free, free, free.

*flirt140.com. Do you tweet? Twitter users can register with flirt140.com to meet up with other singles. This free service allows the user to tag their account with descriptive words and/or interests. For example, click “biking” and it takes the clicker to a list of members who share that interest.

*Love Me Love My Pets.com. Is your pet like a member of your family? Then, check out Love Me Love My Pets.com. This is a free service and probably a good idea if you have run into people who don’t understand your cat in the past. (Luckily, my boyfriend likes my cat and she’s a little dangerous, trust me).

Good luck!

I’ve done several online dating sites in my life, with varied success. I had met my last boyfriend on Lavalife and had a pretty good experience on it about 4 years ago, so when I saw all the cheesy eHarmony commercials with the happy couples, I decided to give it a try. It was the first time I had to pay to use an online dating service so I was expecting some decent results. I tried their 3 month option, for $120.

At first it seemed pretty neat. How eHarmony works, is they make you take a personality test, where they ask you tons of questions about yourself and what you are looking for. Then they match what you said with others of the opposite sex (or same sex if that’s what you’re into). Every morning, I would wake up, and there would be 10 new matches for me. Then I would go through them and decide if I wanted to initate contact with any of them based on their pics and profiles. The communication is guided…you have to follow their sets of questions and then when you’re done that, you switch to open communication where you can e-mail back and forth.

I actually didn’t mind this at all…it can be a little stressful to just come right out and start talking to a complete stranger.

What they don’t tell you is that anyone can create a profile, and then walk away from it and never subscribe to the service (which means you can’t communiacate). I had a male friend who signed up the same time I did and he left his account alone for 3 months before subscribing. So he was getting matches sent to him the entire time…these women would be attempting communication with him, and he would be doing nothing about it, Talk about a blow to the ego…to never have someone return your communications!

So despite the fact that my profile was great, my picture was amazing, I barely got any attention. I think I made to open communication with 4 men in 3 months, and only had 2 dates….and I wasn’t trying to be picky! It became very clear rather quickly that there were way more women on eHarmony than there were men. Which makes sense since it’s typically a place to look for relationships.

The whole experience was pretty crappy, I really didn’t enjoy it at all. I would not recommend it to my friends. Has anyone else ever tried it?

I’m fascinated by the way different cultures approach dating and marriage. Traditions like arranged marriages used to sound crazy to me, but as I mature, I’ve developed a more open mind. I’ve realized that just because we believe we know best here in the West, that doesn’t mean that we actually do know best. Where did we get that anyway? That belief that our way of doing things is superior? In the case of dating, it’s sure not backed up by measurable statistics like divorce rates.

Today I found something about using biodata to find a potential mate. Biodata is essentially a resume that focuses a good deal on who you came from, as well as were you are now. Who are your people? Do your people fit with my people? Do our bloodlines go together? Information is gathered and then posted on a matrimonial website.

Part resume, part personal ad, and part family tree, biodata can cut through the time-consuming process of finding a spouse by turning it into something akin to a job interview: What are his qualifications? Is she a good match? What is his income potential?

Used primarily by South Asians in arranged marriages, biodata emphasizes compatibility, education, and family history, including caste, more than romance. There are also physical factors to be considered, such as complexion and, occasionally, blood type.

Even among assimilating South Asian Americans like Thaker, the exchange of biodata is popular. In fact, some believe that the deeply rooted tradition is on the rise in part because of the rapid pace of modern life and the increasing popularity of matrimonial websites.

What do you think of the idea of using biodata to find a spouse? Have you heard of this before? Do you think it has any merit for people in the West?

As reported, the dating service was scheduled to start in August, spearheaded by David Harburn who knows that it’s difficult to find a mate if you have a learning disability since he was born with cerebral palsy. The service aims to achieve what any other normal dating service does, to match up men and women. The service will also cater to people who are looking for a same sex relationship.

I’m both surprised and happy to learn that such a service exists. I believe that no one really wants to live the rest of their life alone. Yes, even for people with learning disability. I know we all have the same needs, too.

What about you? Do you see any obstacle that this service will go through? What about the people participating as they go through the whole concept of matchmaking?

Personally, I think the suit is baseless. To be clear I have nothing against homosexuals. Part of the beauty of the web is that there’s a website to cater to any need.

Lisa Miller writes over at Newsweek.com about eHarmony.com’s troubles. The dating website, which boasts over 20 million users, is facing a class-action lawsuit over its alleged discrimination against gays and lesbians.

Personally, I think the suit is baseless. To be clear I have nothing against homosexuals. Part of the beauty of the web is that there’s a website to cater to any need. I just wonder why the plaintiffs in the eHarmony.com case didn’t just avoid the site and go to Chemistry.com, a competitor.

eHarmony.com was founded by some Christian dude, which is why it originally (and still) offers only “men seeking women” or “women seeking men” why force them to change their ways? I’m not exactly sure which case is this, but the US Supreme Court dismissed a lawsuit against the Boy Scouts of America, which accused the organization of discrimination since it didn’t accept homosexuals.

The majority opinion declared that the BSA shouldn’t be forced to accept people not covered in its “acceptable” list of applicants, but should stand the test of society or something similar. In other words, the Supreme Court realized that the best way to get the BSA to change its apparently discriminatory ways was to leave it to the scrutiny of the society. If society in general wanted homosexuals in the BSA, then the organization would adapt. The same is true for eHarmony.com: if it finds its revenues threatened by its exclusion of homosexuals, then it will probably change its policies.

What do you think of the lawsuit? Feel free to comment below

Ashley Madison caters to men and women who are already in relationships and are looking for something more. Ashley Madison is the largest dating service of its kind.
The billboard you see at the top of this post is an actual billboard. Do you think that type of advertisement is taking the message of cheating a bit too far?

I suppose services like this are beneficial enough to cater to a population that chooses this lifestyle rather then imposing a not so acceptable lifestyle on those who might not be quite as receptive.

In a private survey, some 32-year-old guy from Chicago decided to test several dating sites to see which ones get him laid most often.
It’s true! And here are the results
Ladies, if you’re in or around the Chicago area and listed on any of those sites, I certainly hope you’ll develop a little more sense about ya and not end up a statistic.
I do have to admit, I’m a little surprised eHarmony is on this list.
