I don’t know how to “play date.” My friends either don’t have kids or have them in full-time daycare. My son is home with me part time. We go to the zoo, the science center, the playground. I see those other moms, the well-organized ones who stay home full-time and operate a home, no doubt, like a military camp. Their clothes are always folded and clean, their dishes always put up, their children always dressed in neatly pressed designer jumpers. Early Child Care Linked to Problem Behavior
Children who had been placed in child care during early childhood were more likely to exhibit aggression and disobedience regardless of the quality of the center-based care they received.
I’ve always been a believer that at least one parent should be able to stay at home with children until they begin kindergarten. I know this isn’t always possible, but studies are showing more and more that it’s in the best interest of the children and their wellbeing.
