If you’re a fan of the television series Desperate Housewives, you know Kathryn Joosten; she plays neighbor Mrs. McClusky. You may also know of her as Mrs. Landingham, President Bartlett’s no-nonsense secretary in the popular show West Wing.
According to People Magazine, the two-time Emmy winner (for her acting on DH) announced that she is fighting her second battle with lung cancer. She was diagnosed the first time in 2001. Ms Joosten was a heavy smoker until that diagnosis, when she quit smoking.
Lung cancer used to be thought of as a man’s disease and is still often thought of that way. …read more

Ok…those who read Blog Fabulous and to those who are new…this is totally not my style of writing…BUT I have to tell this story.
I’ve been going to the same dry cleaner folks in my home town for 20 years. Billy, and his wife…whose name, I never remember.
I go in today…and lazily, I plop my stuff on the counter, in the same way I do every week.
Usually, Billy knows I’m there to bring in about 5 of my husband’s shirts — pick up the next day…I’m out the door. Yawwwwn, right?

I know I’ve whined about this before…but when you are sick, do NOT go to work. I have been miserably sick with some kind of head flu all weekend and let me tell you, I haven’t gotten a thing done.
It took me a ridiculous amount of time to compose an e-mail and send it…only to find out moments later, that I’d sent it to an incorrect address which caused the note (and its giant image) to bounce back to me — typos and all. I’m cranky, delusional, paranoid and freezing.
