Getting tired of cupcakes at parties? Why not try Brownie Cones? They not only look cute, they’re sweet and delicious too!
Here’s what you need: 1 box of brownie mix (or you can create brownie mix from scratch), marshmallows, small ice cream cones, sprinkles
Here’s what you do: Preheat the oven to 300 decrees Celsius. Prepare the brownie mix according to pack directions. Fill each cone halfway. It’s important to have space in the cone as the brownies will rise. Place in the oven for 20 minutes. Then take out the goodies and stuff each cone with a marshmallow. Bake for 15 …read more

Wouldn’t these be great to make for Father’s Day? They’re easy too, and so so cute. I’m sure the kids would love to help with the construction…you’ll probably have to buy double the decorative ingredients like M&Ms, Hershey nuggets, and black licorice laces to account for snacking!
Thanks to Family Fun for the creative idea and the directions!

I have a yummy recipe for you tonight from Tortuga Rum. I recently had the opportunity to try out one of their Tortuga Rum Cakes, and they are heavenly, but I’ll write more about that another day. I just had to share this recipe with you.

Apricot Preserves Chocolate Loaf

This Apricot Preserve Chocolate Loaf is a very decadent chocolate dessert. Surprisingly, it’s so easy to make as well. As a matter of fact, the cookbook actually called for bitter orange marmalade but I ran out so I used apricots preserve. So instead of calling it as Bitter Marmalade Chocolate Loaf, I’m calling it Apricot Preserve Chocolate Loaf.
INGREDIENTS :
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped into small pieces
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup sour cream
1 3/4 cups flour
FILLING :
2/3 cup sour cream
2/3 cup apricots preserve
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped into small pieces
1/4 cup sour cream
extra apricots preserve as garnish
Pi Day Celebration!

I adore Pi Day…it’s one of the best excuses there is to eat something I love anyway. And since I’m married to my physicist sweetheart, there’s even more adoration for 3.14 in our household! Here’s one of the pie recipes I love the most:
Blow Your Socks Off Sour Cream Apple Pie
Make a single batch of regular pie crust
Topping:
3 T butter, softened
1/3 c sugar
1 t cinnamon
2 T flour
Combine in a small bowl and blend with a fork until the mixture is grainy. Cover and chill.
Filling:
4 c tart apples (I like Macouns), peeled, cored, and sliced thinly
1-1/3 c sour cream
2/3 c sugar
1/2 …read more
What is your favourite Christmas dessert?

It used to be fruit salad. But when I discovered that Crema de Fruta is a breeze to make, it became my favorite and no Christmas came without it since then.
Oh my God! Two days and it’ll be Christmas Eve. But family arriving Friday to complete our home, we couldn’t help for the feasts to start. I sort of “practiced” making Crema de Fruta to make sure that I make it right making on Christmas Eve. He he.
That was just an excuse of course, I just couldn’t wait.
I keep coming back to this post to remind me not to pig …read more
