Photographing your quilting and fabric art is easy for some but a challenge for others, especially if you want a really nice photo to send in for a contest, juried show, or publication. Photos for your own use, your scrapbook, family memories, or just so you’ll have a record of what you made aren’t so critical…although it is nice to have ones that excel here, too.

Digital Cameras Handy for Quilters

I see my daughter using her digital camera more and more in her quilting activities. No, she hasn’t developed a way quilt with it! But it’s so handy for taking photos of her work…for her own records, to post on her Meandering Treads blog, to post on other blogs, to send to groups for quilt and block exchanges, to take photos of scenery and natural objects the out-of-doors for quilting inspiration.
