The pictures in First Look and Find Board Books are colorful and simple, and the objects children need to find on each page range from easy to locate to challenging. My kids first started using these books when they were about 2 1/2 years old, and it was difficult for them to find a few of the pictures, but for the most part, they could find them. Now, at 3 1/2, they can find everything without any problems. In fact, we’ve graduated to more challenging games on each page such as counting items and more.

The best part is since they’re board books, young children have a hard time destroying these books.

I highly recommend these books for toddlers and beyond. There are more advanced Look and Find books for preschoolers and older children (we have those, too), but these are great for children to start with and enjoy for years. I’m constantly amazed at the new ways my kids find to use their First Look and Find Board Books.

I love to give my kids reference books with lots of pictures that help them learn more than typical children’s stories provide. For example, one of my children’s favorite books is an encyclopedia of the earth that we bought at Walt Disney World. It’s called “My Very First Encyclopedia with Winnie the Pooh and Friends: Earth” and it’s a fantastic book.
At 192 pages, this is a big book and it’s packed with full-color pictures of everything in nature from animals to trees and so much in between. My children love looking at the pictures and naming the animals. We talk [...]
Post from: Blisstree

At 192 pages, this is a big book and it’s packed with full-color pictures of everything in nature from animals to trees and so much in between. My children love looking at the pictures and naming the animals. We talk to them about the pictures and as a result, they have learned so much about the earth with very little effort.

Bottom line, if you don’t already give your children nonfiction books with pictures to look at, give it a try. You’ll be amazed at what they’ll learn.
