But either way, staying home gives you an opportunity to get around to those “do it yourself” type things. Dad Center published an article last week called Maintain Your Electric Water Heater. It comes with …read more

Many of the Stay at Home Dads I come across daily, can really feel trapped. What I mean by this is their wife is out in the workplace pulling long hours while you play blocks and change stinky diapers. When I first started the role as a full time SAHD I knew I was doing something wonderful. I was investing into my family. I was doing the right thing, and I knew it. The Little Giant Ladder

You know… with the ability to be home a lot of the time, it gives you more of an opportunity to do home repairs. But thinking about a lot of the things that need to get done I focus a lot on what would make my projects that much easier, and using the proper tools. Nothing like trying to do a good job with lack of …read more

Do It Yourself Dad

One of the great parts about being a dad that stays home is getting to fix things more easily. Or at least if you need to call a plumber or an electrician you can be right there when he comes in. I have found that things get fixed a lot quicker being home. I am not trying to say that I am comepletely handy but I have to live with the issues. Things you can do is pick up “do-it-yourself” books. …read more
