]]> So Pablo the Chihuahua isn’t really evil, he just really likes to tease his bigger Doberman brother Ramsey with a dog toy! This cute video, taken by Pablo and Ramsey’s owner Chad, shows “playtime” between the two dogs. I find it especially funny because I’ve seen my own two Chihuahuas acting like this, and what makes it cuter to us is that they both know the other is messing around.

In the video, Pablo baits the very patient Ramsey with the toy, all the while doing what we call The Very Vicious Growl. Ramsey very carefully inches closer and closer to the toy while Pablo keeps a close eye on the progress, leading to louder growls and bigger head jerks.

When Ramsey pretends to lose interest, Pablo shoves the toy back into his face before yanking it back again.

Pablo and Ramsey have their own blog (though it appears to be neglected), as well as a Facebook fan page.

This is one of those videos that you can’t help but stare mindlessly at, even though it’s pretty much the same thing over and over again!

The owner says her doberman uses the pool more than they do and I can’t say that I blame him! I think I need one too. (The pool, not the dog!)

Smartest and Dumbest Dog Breeds

The Early Show on CBS did a segment last week on the smartest and dumbest dog breeds. I’ve heard of some breeds not being as bright as others, I’m not sure what their criteria was.

Anyway, they say the dumbest breeds are:

1. Afghan Hound
2. Basenji
3. Bulldog
4. Chow Chow
5. Borzois
6. Bloodhound
7. Pekingese
8. Mastiff
9. Beagle
10. Basset hound

and the smartest are:

1. Border Collie
2. Poodle
3. German Shepherd
4. Golden Retriever
5. Doberman Pinscher
6. Shetland Sheepdog
7. Labrador Retriever
8. Papillon
9. Rottweiler
10. Australian Cattle Dog

Like I said, I’m not sure what they’re basing their rankings on exactly. I’ve known a pretty smart beagle and a dumb-as-a-box-of-rocks poodle so it’s a safe bet that it’s all relative anyway!
