Baldness Detection Critical to Successful Transplant Surgery

That’s the argument put forth by Drs. Bernstein and Rassman of Bernstein Medical in the latest issue of the journal Hair Transplant Forum. The journal is published by The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), and the lead article this time around is “Densitometry and Video-microscopy.”
In the article the doctors argue that a close, clinical examination of a patients scalp has many benefits:
Better identification of good surgery candidates
Better forecasting of future hair loss patterns
Better understanding of the patients hair characteristics
Better planning of donor and recipient areas
