For this idea, you just add “1 or 2 drops of food coloring to separate batches of the sugar syrup” for whatever popcorn ball recipe you are using. (Here’s a good one that works.) This recipe idea will make for a fun table decoration, or even look great in an Easter basket. (Although I would wrap the balls in cellophane to prevent from sticking.)

I’ve always found vintage looks and items fascinating, reminiscent of the memorabilia from my grandmothers ‘ days.  They’re also fun to incorporate into family heritage scrapbooks, shadow boxes, collages, and photo albums.

As I sorted through cards and letters and calling cards from my grandmothers’ era, I found vintage items that personalize my collections and make our family heritage art work especially memorable and personal.

Exploring Vintage Easter Crafts

Here are a few fantastic ideas for making your own Easter baskets out of fabric – don’t forget tobe creative and have fun with it

• Moda Bake Shop has a fantastic tutorial, using pre-cut fabric strips and drapery piping to make a coiled basket.  You can also cut your own strips of fabric instead of buying them pre-cut.
• Small Fry & Co have created a how-to using heavy fabric stabilizer to make a little Easter “bucket”.
• The Crafty Yarn Council has a pattern to make crocheted baskets with yarn, but substitute fabric strips and you’ve got an awesome stash-busting basket!
• Want something to fill your Easter basket with?  Retro Mama has designed some adorable fabric eggs!

Fanciful Fabric Easter Baskets

Do you want to make a fun Easter basket, but don’t want to do any sewing?  Beth has created a great how-to video for using pieces of fabric and an inexpensive Easter basket to create a unique, one of a kind basket – perfect for filling with chocolate!

That would also make a great stash-buster craft as well.  Because you won’t really see the fabric print, just the colors, it’s perfect for using up all those little bits and pieces that seem to accumulate.
