To begin, cut egg shapes out of different colored felt &#8211; these ones are approximately two inches wide:

Place them on a second piece of felt, but don&#8217;t cut it out.  Instead embroider across the eggs, using decorative stitches:

<p>But what happens if your machine doesn&#8217;t have pre-programmed embroidery stitches?</p>

<p>A plain &amp; simple zig-zag stitch works beautifully for this project too!  I used three shades of varigated machine embroidery thread and worked zig-zags across the egg.  Finish it the same way as the other eggs.</p>
