Last week I posted the Hummingbird of Mummy Mountain which got me thinking about desert structures, which in turn got me thinking about the iT House by Taalman Koch Architecture. The model everyone adores is not exactly in the SW desert, but it is in a desert setting; near Joshua Tree in California.

This lovely prefab is simple, small, and focused on outdoor-indoor living. It adds a smaller footprint than many homes, and can be totally customized and in most cases up and running in about 12 weeks. Not bad.

A Different Sort of Treehouse

This treehouse wasn’t made exactly to be a treehouse; at least not how you might think.
The Tree House Clapham is covered in the book Diary of an Ecobuilder, and is really special. A huge tree occupied the lot of the Clapham house, making home building a bit of work. However, instead of taking the tree out the home was built around the tree in a way. It’s easier if you see.

Seriously Lust Worthy Lundberg Design House

That title’s not joking around. This home is one of those top ten dream homes you hear about. Well, it’s one of my top ten dream homes anyhow. Actually if you wanted to create a top ten dream structure list you could just visit the Lundberg Design and be perfectly fine. All the work is appealing; some is more offbeat than others but all have aesthetics and flow that make you drool.
