Of course, they have not been blowing up the balloons to for solar power. They stitched all of them together and put on some aluminum. That has been the main ingredient so as to be able to bring in power.

This project is still a prototype though. But if this goes through, this will surely be something grand. It is going to be quite flexible and not just like the flat solar panels that we are used to seeing.

The Solar Electric Vehicle Team of the university is the group behind this newest solar race car. They say that this ride can zoom by at speeds of 90 miles per hour. They had spent $243,000 on this one and they call it Eleanor. Just like the vehicle that Nicolas Cage was so afraid of in Gone in 60 Seconds? I don’t know.

But anyhow, George Hansel, one of the members of the solar team, shares, “It drives beautifully. It’s fun to drive and quite a spectacle.” They are working on the vehicle already and testing it because it is going to be taking part at the World Solar Challenge which is a 2000-mile solar race for seven days through Australia.

Yeah, well, let’s just say that each time you need to give juice to your gadget, you plug it right up the grid.

But if you had solar powered rechargeable batteries, then you are now lessening a good amount of your carbon footprint. And these solar rechargeable batteries is the brainchild of Knut Karlsen. He names his created the SunCat. And what he did was create solar rechargeable batteries by sticking in strips of a solar cell right around nickel metal hydride batteries.

Of course that Karlsen has done is still a prototype and he is still working out how to create better ones. He even admits that the first one that he did is not going to work that well. He is currently spending time on a second version.

After all, many people realize that the sun is there and it is powerful however what they do not know is that it is really something that can help them lessen their energy bills.

What Da Luz has done was go on a solar tour by driving around the country in his solar car. His car looks odd though because it is said to be like a UFO of some sort. Recently, he took a stop at Palo Alto and people have been learning more about solar power through his car and through what he has to say.

On what he is doing, Da Luz says, “I’ve got no wife, no kids — only a cat, and she probably doesn’t remember me anymore. I lost my girlfriend and my job because of this crazy passion. It’s bizarre, but this journey has become everything for me.”

I’m surely rooting for ya!

Part of what we are doing is providing solar panels in classrooms to give students hands on application, something they can learn from look at and it promotes green energy.”

According to the mobile phone creator, their solar mobile phone is known as Blue Earth. The solar panel which absorbs the sun’s rays and converts it into usable energy can be found right on the back of the battery.

When tested, the company has been able to find out that when you charge the mobile phone using solar power for ten minutes, Blue Earth will allow you to make a three minute-call.

Now that is my kind of mobile phone. See, if you were out somewhere and you had to make an important call, you can easily give your gadget juice.

And then there is also this solar kit which will allow kids to learn more on building about robots but also learn more about solar power. This solar kit is from OWIKit.

OWIKit calls it a building kit that has been designed so much so that it will be educational. The company did further disclose that this solar kit is going to help children create their own small motor that will run with the use of solar power. I could not even imagine how that will function but I’m pretty sure this solar kit is going to do just that.

With that, kids who will be playing with the solar kit can create various things with the solar motor that they will be creating. Six models are included in the kit for the kids to construct and that includes a car, an airboat, a puppy, two planes, and a windmill.
