If you ask any non-Filipino person who has been to a Filipino party or simple get-together quite a few times here in America what they’ve eaten at that particular party they’ll tell you the most quintessential Filipino party dish. And that’s LUMPIA which is what we Filipinos call our egg rolls.

Recipe: Turkey Egg Rolls

As I promised yesterday, here is the recipe to one of my family’s favorite meals: egg rolls!
These are so simple to make and though I don’t remember where the original recipe came from anymore, we’ve added enough tweaks over the years that we’ve got it memorized anyway.
Turkey Egg Rolls
1 pound ground turkey
4 cups shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix
2 Tb soy sauce
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp onion salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 package (24 sheets) egg roll wrappers (I use Azumaya brand)
Oil for frying
