In yet another reason to ban BPA from your home, The Washington Post released info about a new study last week that claims bisphenol A (BPA) may be behind certain, um male issues such as erectile dysfunction and other sexual problems.
The study, published in the journal Human Reproduction, is interesting since up until now, all reproductive / BPA studies have been conducted with mice or rats. Erectile dysfunction as a warning: Diabetic men show symptoms of ED prior to heart disease

Erectile dysfunction is always a matter of the heart, but new research shows that more than romance is at stake. Two new studies of men with type 2 diabetes found that erectile dysfunction (ED) was a powerful early warning sign for serious heart disease, including heart attack and death.
The good news is that cholesterol-lowering medications could cut the risk of heart problems by about 1/3. Viagra and other drugs alike might offer similar protection.
The study also concluded that most men showed symptoms of ED prior to heart disease and that almost all diabetic men showed ED before coronary heart disease. …read more
