I have reached the period in my life where engagement has started to spread like the swine flu. I am not engaged and have never been married, so the idea that all of my friends happen to be receiving proposals of marriage from their boyfriends at the same time is a little bit of a mystery to me. Jamie Foxx and Marriage

I was scooting around the internet, looking for something to write about when I found a quote given to Uptown magazine, by Jamie Foxx. In the quote, he gives his perspective on marriage.
“[I'm] not necessarily a bachelor, but I look at marriage as not for me. Maybe that will change at some point, but right now, I see many of my married friends who are so miserable. And I’m looking at that thinking, ‘Man, maybe I don’t need that.’”

Serenity and Expectations For Today

I’ll try my darndest to keep it in today…
I had expectations for the new job that when my new employer told me he’d pay me commissions against a salary, that there would be enough traffic to warrant a good sales job. I was wrong. And it has already become very difficult getting through the day.
