I&#8217;ve found my much-loved Gingher shears &#8211; carefully packed away.  It had been the &#8220;carefully-packed away where&#8221; part that was giving me trouble.
Of course, pretty much anyone who sews can appreciate how much their scissors mean to them!

Fabric shears are such a personal tool &#8211; even if you&#8217;re fine with sharing other supplies, most sewers that I know would be hard-pressed to share their shears.

I have to admit, I&#8217;m pretty obsessive about my good scissors &#8211; I even have my DH trained&#8230; If the scissors have my name on them, don&#8217;t touch!
But even the most meticulous care won&#8217;t keep your fabric scissors from going dull eventually (especially if you&#8217;re cutting polar fleece!)  Do you trust your lovely scissors to a mall kiosk?
Ask your hair stylist or your dog groomer where they get their scissors sharpened.   Their scissors can cost hundreds of dollars, and you can bet that they&#8217;ll send them to the best place in town to be sharpened!
