Have you discovered old quilts and/or patches in your attic or a closet? Are there quilting patterns there?
When cleaning out a closet in the old farmhouse where I grew up, after my mom developed Alzheimer’s, I discovered some old quilting patches. Some were simply pre-cut pieces and others consisted individual blocks with the pieces stitched together.

Do you read Nancy Kirk’s Monday Minute each week? I came across Nancy’s web site and subscribed to her newsletter. Each Monday, I receive an e-mail reminder of her Monday Minute. I’ve found it a very inspiring way to begin my week. Nancy gives me insight into quilting and life and much to think about as I go about my days.
Nancy is an expert on quilt restoration and fabric dating; she also teaches workshops and seminars on these topics.
