What a great night it was at Fairfield University’s Second Annual Relay for Life event. As part of the American Cancer Society’s Colleges Against Cancer program, the student volunteers put on an event that mirrors all Relay for Life events — complete with the luminaria ceremony — and made me so proud to be a part of the school community as it exists today.

Tonight, I’m speaking at Fairfield University’s second annual Relay for Life. As reported in The Mirror, Fairfield U’s student newspaper:
“A talk will be held at the reception by Fairfield alum and cancer survivor Karen Lynch, who spoke last year’s opening ceremony at last year’s Relay For Life.”
